Marguerite (Maggie) Smith, having practiced immigration before becoming a family law attorney and currently working with her client’s immigration attorneys is able to communicate easily with those attorneys, work with them and present immigration matters clearly to the court, where necessary. Note that Maggie will not work as your immigration attorney but works with that attorney. This is because immigration is a very specialized area and keeping up with the changes is not what Maggie, as a family law attorney, has the time to do. However, Maggie does volunteer her time to assist migrants in asylum matters, and makes referrals at El Centro de la Raza in Seattle.
