Collaborative Law

COLLABORATIVE LAW emphasizes negotiation over litigation. Litigation is expensive and exacts an emotional toll on the parties. In Collaborative Law both parties and their attorneys sign an agreement stating that they will not litigate. Both attorneys and clients work collaboratively to reach an agreement. The attorneys must, according to the agreement, drop out of the case if there is litigation.

Marguerite (Maggie) Smith, President of Flexx Law, PS is a member of King County Collaborative Law, an association of Collaborative Professionals.
