Negotiation

Sometimes people involved in a family dispute can simply negotiate, either by themselves or through an attorney or mediator to reach a resolution of their issues. This is frequently seen in a very amicable divorce, for example. It is naturally advisable to have one’s attorney at least review the terms before a binding agreement is made. This can be a good reduced-stress option for the parties. It also gives them a sense of ownership in the result which makes the agreement more likely to be followed voluntarily.

There are certain skills associated with good negotiation. Flexx Law, PS attorneys devote considerable attention to negotiation skills and strategy.
